Please feel free to contact Sharon Hart for any further information regarding GP connect. You may contact her on the first instance via email at S.hart5@nhs.net
Sharon Hart leads the GL GP Connect team, working with practices to determine their needs and then recruiting pharmacists to find the best fit. With the support of Bromley by Bow GPs Khyati and Selva, she is responsible for the strategic development of GP Connect.
She has over 30 years experience as a pharmacist and is one of the first pharmacists to work in primary care, starting Pharmaceutical Advice/Medicines Management in the early 1990s. She has also led teams in Hospital, Medical Publications and works as a Leadership Coach.
In terms of qualifications, Sharon has an MBA, Coaching Certificate and is a Non-Medical Prescriber.
She is responsible for the induction and on-going training/development of the GP Connect Pharmacists, both those directly employed and those on training contracts. To achieve this she works closely with the team of GP Connect pharmacists – we all support each other and help each other grow and develop.
Having worked in a variety of NHS and non-NHS settings for many years, Sharon has a real appreciation of the benefits of Green Light and Employee Ownership. The ability to influence and shape the development of the Profession through the growth of Green Light and the ability to have an impact on peoples' lives through General Practice pharmacy and Leadership development are areas that she is passionate about.
Sharon enjoys working with patients with Long Term Conditions to support them in the management of their diseases/conditions. She has a particular interest in cardiovascular disease and the management of Type II diabetes mellitus.
She enjoys physical exercise especially running, fitness classes and yoga plus outdoor activities including gardening and rambling.
